Stop paying for more software that your crew doesn't adopt.

Stop paying for more software that your crew doesn't adopt.

Your bill hits your credit card every month and you ask yourself, "What am I even paying for, and how is this actually helping my business?"

You've always looked for ways to run things better, but every time you take a step forward it feels like you end up going backwards. You buy a few apps, stitch together your own process, and hope the whole thing just works. Then comes the most frustrating part. You pay for the apps, you try to get your crew to use them, and nobody does.

So the price of a stack of apps isn't even the real problem. The real problem is adoption from your crew. An app your crew won't touch is worth nothing, and they don't touch them for the same reasons every time. It's another login to remember, another app to open and learn, and trades workers will always fall back to what has always worked and how they've always done it. So the back office ends up with sheets of paper and a pile of manual data entry that could have been handled straight from the job site.

The alternative my clients are already using is text messaging with SMS and Telegram. Everyone knows how to send a text. So instead of logging in and picking through an app, the worker just texts what he did on the job. Let's say you're on the job site on a Tuesday and your foreman is at the job site, he sends out a text about the hours his crew put in and the material they used. By the time he's back in the truck, that text has landed in the office and has job-cost data and all the materials and labour are accounted for. Nobody opened an app. Nobody filled out a form. All he had to do was send a text. Better yet, he can skip the typing and leave a voice note that gets transcribed and matched against your company's specific details. That transcription is the AI doing the boring part in the background, and your crew never has to know it's there. That's what changes the game. Not more features. Adoption, and systems built around what people already know and will actually use.

You might say the app does more and can handle more. But how many times have you downloaded an app and never touched half of what it does? More features only help if someone actually uses them, and most of them sit there unused while your crew keeps texting and your office keeps retyping.

This is the conversation I have with my clients constantly, and it's where Tradeswork Logic comes in. We build the software and the guidance around how your company already operates, so you pay for what you'll actually use instead of the noise that comes bundled with an off-the-shelf app.

This is right for 10 to 50 person crews with real admin and operational complexity, the ones trying to clean up their books and get more visibility on what's happening day to day. If you're a solo operator without many moving parts, you probably don't need it yet.

And if you're hearing all the noise about automation and AI and feeling like you're falling behind, let's set up a call. We'll walk through what will actually save you time and money, and what's just more noise.
